New Lights Out Skating Academy video, featuring new home at The Sports Village in Vaughan

Lights Out Skating Academy is happy to released this new video to celebrate Spring and Summer group training sessions at The Sports Village in Vaughan. For the first time, LOSA will be bringing our world class skating training to the city of Vaughan.

As always, LOSA will focus on applying the fundamental skills of world class figure skating to enhance the speed, acceleration, dexterity, finesse, stability and control under pressure required to make good hockey players into great hockey players. These Spring and Summer sessions will focus on the 5 basic skating skills. These SKILLS 5 will cover the fundamental movements to achieve:

• STOP: Basic stops, forward & backward; 2 feet side stops; 1 foot side stops
• START: V push; C cuts; strides
• FORWARD: Knowledge of inside & outside edges; focus on balance plus body alignment; progression of cross-overs
• BACKWARD: Knowledge of inside & outside edges; focus on balance plus body alignment; progression of cross-overs
• TURNS: Basic turns; 2 foot 3 turns, backwards & forwards; 1 foot 3 turns forwards; mohawk progressions; development of transitions and rhythm of turns

Our Vaughan Sports Village Summer Sessions start Saturday Jun 15th 2019 - @ 9:15 AM. Online registration is now open for all sessions from June to mid-August.
